Astrodynamic (adj.) Rootlight Rituals teas are Astrodynamic: blended and blessed in harmony with the phases of the moon. Each batch is created at the moment that reflects its character - New Moon, Waxing, Full, or Waning - so that every cup carries not only the essence of the herbs, but also the rhythm of the skies.
Each month, we release one limited-edition Rootlight Rituals tea, blended under its corresponding moon phase and infused with the spirit of the season.

Why the moon?
Since the earliest days of human life, the moon has been our oldest clock.
Long before calendars and clocks, people measured time by her waxing and waning light. Farmers sowed their seeds and gathered their harvests according to her phases. Women marked the rhythm of their own bodies against her twenty-eight-day cycle, and in many cultures the moon was revered as a goddess of fertility, birth, and renewal. The pull of the moon shapes the tides, guiding fishers and coastal dwellers, while oysters and other sea creatures still open and close in time with her light. Storytellers and poets wove myths around her changing face, seeing in her both constancy and change. Across the world, rituals, festivals, and daily lives have been attuned to her rhythm, making the moon not only a celestial body but a companion in the shaping of culture, survival, and spirit.
Why We Work by the Moon
Most “moon teas” on the market are inspired by lunar imagery - they carry names like Full Moon Blend or New Moon Tea and suggest you sip them under the stars. Others, like rare biodynamic harvests, are plucked only on a single full moon night each year.
At Rootlight Rituals, we take a different path. Our teas are Astrodynamic. Not only are they themed around the phases of the moon, they are made in rhythm with the moon itself. Each blend is created and blessed at the phase it belongs to:

New Moon – Begin Again is blended in the dark stillness of the new moon.

Every batch is small, exclusive, and unique to its cycle - once it is gone, it belongs to history, just as each moon phase passes into memory.”
At Rootlight Rituals, we honour the ancient bond between people and the moon. For thousands of years, farmers, healers, and storytellers have looked to the moon’s cycles for guidance - planting with the waxing light, harvesting under the full glow, and releasing during the waning dark.
Our teas are an invitation to pause with the cosmos, to taste the season of the sky, and to join a tradition as old as humanity itself.
Once a batch has passed, like the moon itself, it will not return until the cycle comes round again.
Can I Drink the Teas Outside Their Moon Phase?
Yes. Each Rootlight Rituals blend is crafted in rhythm with its moon phase, but you can drink them whenever you feel called. The moon gives us the rhythm of creation - you set the rhythm of enjoyment.
